Advanced technology of asphalt recycling
―――
developed jointly by Japanese and Canadian companies
Japanese and Canadian construction machinery manufacturers join hands in
developing an advanced technology of quickly reclaiming asphalt pavement to
recycle on-site for repaving, and intend to market its machines to the Asian
countries.
Being licensed to utilize this new technology owned by Canada’s Martec Recycling
Corporation, Green ARM Co., Ltd, a Japanese venture company of producing and
marketing road construction machinery, commissions Hitachi Construction Machinery
Co.,
Ltd
to manufacture newly designed machines in Japan.
A train of four machine units, all of which can blow hot air with infrared
heat directly onto the pavement, enables to soften the asphalt and mill
it to mix with new
material on-site for repaving while moving on the road.
This technology, according to Green ARM, can thoroughly recycle the reclaimed
asphalt and substantially reduce overall project duration and costs.
